We bring together 7–10 organizations in one sector for 12 months to solve the field’s biggest AI challenges. Together, we map what’s needed, scale what works, and build what’s missing. The result? A battle-tested AI strategy for the whole sector and open-source tools ready for anyone to deploy.

Map what exists
We profile every tool currently in the field, backed by honest feedback from the people who built and used them. This analysis is to understand exactly what already works and where the blank spots are.

Agree what matters
We identify 8 to 10 specific, high-priority use cases per area, ranked by the practitioners who actually use them. This gives builders a clear roadmap and funders a reliable guide for where to invest next.

Divide the work
Each organization takes responsibility for one piece of the puzzle, building it to seamlessly connect with the rest. One shared ecosystem, built in parallel by the experts closest to each problem.

Publish everything
We release all code, frameworks, and evaluation tools into an open-source library (Impact OS). Free to use, open to customize, and built as digital public goods — so everyone benefits instead of competing with isolated, proprietary tools.
